This PodRunner® SatRunner™ was purchased for CalFire/Butte County Fire after the Butte County Sheriff's SatRunner™ played such a pivotal role on the Camp Fire (see full story in the article here: https://thepodrunner.com/campfire/).
We believe this is the first CalFire unit to have it's own independent satellite Cell and data connection for remote operations! Now Fire Managers/Supervisors can use their cell phones and laptops anywhere, even on the most remote fires. Butte County has often led the rest of CalFire in many progressive concepts. Now CalFire/Butte County Fire can bring Cellular and Data connectivity with them anywhere, anytime, every time!
